I pledge to uphold the Objects of Kiwanis International, to provide service to my community, to extend the opportunity of membership to all persons of goodwill, and to dedicate myself to serving the children of the world.

Kiwanis Club Dixon, IL

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Dixon, IL is a service club dedicated to the Kiwanis International motto to "Serve the Children of the World."

The club meets every Wednesday morning at KSB Hospital at 7:00am. There is a short business meeting and an informative educational program. The Dixon club was started in 1968.

  • All Kiwanis members are asked to volunteer for this long-standing community event. Typically, pancakes & sausage are served all morning on a selected Saturday. The Pancake Committee organizes and directs members in all phases of the event. Pancake Day involves volunteers from Key Club, Aktion Club and Golden K Club. Hundreds are served. <em>March 21, 2020</em>

  • Kiwanis members volunteer to read books in all first-grade classrooms one day per week for three consecutive weeks. At the close of the program, Kiwanis provides one children’s book for each student free of charge. Schools involved include Dixon and Grand Detour, both public and parochial. <em>April & May</em>
